Trimming Module Beta
Every gram from harvest to finished, accounted for.
Many trim rooms run on paper sheets and a scale. Weights get totaled after the shift, and nobody can say where the missing grams went or who trims fastest on which strain.
The Trimming module turns a finished harvest into a processing group that moves through your post-harvest stages. Managers hand out weighed jobs, trimmers log their sessions, and PDS keeps the inventory by form factor and ranks trimmers by grams per minute.
A completed harvest becomes a processing group. GSC, Wedding Cake and Gumbo, each strain’s weight carried over.

7 trimmers, 1.73 g/min average. Every session logged against a QR label.
Verified stage by stage, then the final weights go back to the harvest’s yield.
Processing Templates
Your post-harvest workflow, set up once as a template and drawn as a flowchart: every stage in order, with what goes in and what comes out.
- Each stage’s name, days, and the form factors in and out.
- Progress by days, by weight, or done when every job is done.
- Track Performance marks the stages that count toward trimmer rankings, usually Hand Trim.
Processing Groups
A completed harvest becomes a processing group, with each strain’s weight carried over and a start date for every stage.
- Pick a completed harvest and each strain’s weight fills in from its yield, or upload a CSV.
- Set the first stage’s start date and the stages after it follow; move one and the rest move with it.
- Every current group on one board: strain count, start date, status and current stage.

Jobs and QR Labels
Hand out weighed jobs, print a label for each, and trimmers log their work against it.
- A job is a weight of one strain at one stage, assigned to a trimmer. PDS won’t hand out more than is on hand.
- Print a QR label for one job or every job in a stage. Scanning it opens the job to log work.
- Trimmers log start, end, breaks and output by form factor. PDS shows grams per minute and flags lost, missing or excess weight.

Inventory and Closeout
Each strain’s weight by form factor, kept in step with every job, then verified and closed out stage by stage.
- What is awaiting assignment, assigned to jobs, on the shelf and wasted, by form factor.
- Output from jobs, minus input to jobs, plus adjustments, equals inventory. Every adjustment logs who, when, how much and a note.
- Verify each stage, then Finish & Close Strain, and import the final weights into the harvest’s yield.

Trimmer Analytics
Three views of your trimmers, built from the jobs in the stages you mark Track Performance.
- GPM Dashboard: a group’s average grams per minute, hours, output and its five fastest trimmers.
- Worker Performance: grams per minute, input, output and efficiency for each trimmer, across groups and dates.
- Trimmer/Strain Optimization: each trimmer’s grams per minute on each strain against that strain’s average.
